“Giving kindness & HOPE is the best form of humanity.”

About Us

It all started with a vision..

After establishing Winrica Adventures to create job opportunities in the Kilimanjaro Region, Winford and Erika Bogan-Mtui encountered unforeseen challenges faced by their employees. Many of these individuals were not only struggling with the day-to-day demands of life but were also grappling with the enduring effects of generational poverty. Issues such as family members with physical and invisible disabilities, a lack of access to educational resources, insufficient financial literacy, and limited access to physical & mental healthcare, safe housing, food, and clean water were prevalent.

Upon meeting Victoria M. and her family, who became the foundation's first "Faces of Hope," Erika and Winford recognized the pressing need for a more comprehensive approach to support their team. With Erika's extensive background in the disability sector in the United States, they saw an opportunity to bridge cultures and resources.

Their vision was to facilitate sponsorship programs that would not only provide financial assistance but also empower families with education and resources that were otherwise lacking in Tanzania. With the lower cost of living and basic life essentials in the region, the potential impact of these sponsorships could be significant, allowing families to not just survive, but to thrive and gain the skills to sustain themselves independently for the future.

By investing in education and offering advanced training tailored to overcome local barriers, the program aims to break the cycle of poverty and shift the narrative for families like Victoria's. With a commitment to fostering sustainable change, Winford and Erika hope to create a pathway for empowerment, helping individuals lift themselves and their families towards a brighter future, while giving others who are more privileged around the world the gift of becoming a Hope Dealer!

And thus, Dealers of Hope Foundation was born.
